Gerbera daisies are one of my favorite flowers. I wanted some bright colored giant paper flowers in my craft room so I decided on sunflowers and gerbera daisies. They go really well together.

You probably could cut this out by hand if you are feeling very patent but I would recommend having a cutting machine for this template.

This template goes great with my giant sunflower template. You can buy the set here.

Materials

First, cut out all your petals. You will need 24 small, 24 big, one of each of the centerpieces, and the back piece cut out of cardboard.

Glue one side of the flap on the individual petals then overlap them and glue them down.

Next, use the shaping tool to curve the petals.

Once you have all the petals shaped, glue 12 large petals around the cardboard piece.

Glue the last 12 large petals in-between the first layer of petals.

Glue the first 12 small petals in between two of the outer petals. (The base of the small petal will cover the cardboard created by the gaps of the larger petals.) You will be gluing in every other space between petals.

Glue the last 12 small petals in the spaces you skipped.

Shape the center petals with the shaping tool. After the petals are curled, use your hands to make the petals stand up more.

Glue the centerpieces in the center of the flower from biggest to smallest.

Glue the center brown piece into the middle then use your fingers to make the center petals cup around the center more.
