Sweater and Purse for Crochet Doll

When cold weather comes, nothing is better than a soft warm sweater.

Materials

Special stitches

Fpdc- Front post double crochet

Fptr- Front post treble crochet  

Pants

Legs(make 2) 
R1​: Ch 12. Sc into first ch making sure that you do not twist the ch. Sc into next 11ch. (12)

R2​: Sc into the first sc. sc around (12)

R3-19​: Sc around (12) First leg only-​ cut yarn and fasten off.

Joining legs 
R20​: Ch1 on the second leg then sc into the first leg. 11 sc around the top of the first leg. Ch1 and sc into the next st of the second leg. 11 sc around the top of the second leg. (24 sc, 2 ch)

R21​: *Sc into the ch1 sp. 12 sc* Repeat ** (26)

R22-26​: Sc in each st around. (26)

Sl st into the next st. Cut yarn and fasten off. Weave in all ends. Sew the crotch closed.

Sweater 

Make sure to keep the stitches nice and loose on the ribbed border.  

Ribbed Border 

R1​: With pink, ch4. Sc into second ch from hook. Sc into the next 2 ch. Turn (do not ch1) (3)

R2​: Sl st across. Ch1, turn (3)

R3​: Sc across. Turn (3)

R4-39​: Repeat R2-3 (3)

Form a ring by making a sl st into both the bottom of R1 and the blo of R39. Make sure you do not twist the fabric.

Torso 

R1​: 21 sc spaced evenly across the top of the ring formed by R1-39. Ch1, turn (21)

R2-10​. Sc in each st across. Ch1, turn (21)

R11​: 3sc then ch6. Sk 3 st then 9 sc. Ch6. Sk 3 st. 3 sc. Ch1, turn. (15 sc, 12 ch)

R12​: Sc then sc dec. Make 4 sc into the ch 6 sp. Sc dec. Make 5 sc. Sc dec. 4 sc into the ch 6 sp. Sc dec, sc. Ch 1, turn. (19)

R13​: Sc. 3 sc dec. Make 5 sc, then 3 sc dec. Sc. Ch 1, turn. (13) R14​: 3 sc dec. Sc. 3 sc dec (7)

Cut yarn and fasten off.

Collar   

R1​: Ch 3. Sc in second ch from hook. Sc. Turn (2)

R2​: Sl st across. Ch1, turn (2)

R3​: Sc across. Turn (2)

R4-25​:Repeat R2-3

Cut yarn and fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing.

Sew on the collar so that when you fold the collar down, the ribbing is facing out. The collar will be a little bit longer than the neck opening. Just scrunch up the collar a little bit as you sew it on to get it to fit.

Sleeves 

For both arms-

R1​: Make a standing sc into the arm-hole. Make 10 sc evenly spaced around the opening. (11)

R2​: Sc into the standing sc. Sc around. (11)

R3-14​: Sc around. (11)

Sl st into the next sc. Cut yarn and fasten off.

Cuffs 

Make 2

R1​: Ch4. Sc into the second ch from hook. Sc across. Turn. (3)

R2​: Sl st across. Ch1, turn. (3)

R3​: Sc across. Turn. (3)

R4-15​: Repeat R2-3

Form a ring by *Sl st into both R1 and the blo of R15* Repeat** across.

Cut yarn and fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing. Sew the cuff onto the arm of the sweater.

Sew the loose flap of the collar down to the body of the sweater.

Button holes   

Join yarn using standing sc to the bottom left of the V on the back. 2 Sc. Ch3. sk st (buttonhole made) *3 sc. Ch 3. Sk st.* Repeat **once then 2 sc. (10 sc, 9 ch)

Cut yarn and fasten off. Weave in all ends.

Sew on 3 buttons across from the buttonholes.

Shoes 

Make 2

R1​: With brown, 5 sc into a magic ring (5)

R2​: 2 sc in each st around (10)

R3-4​: sc around (10)

R5​: Sc into next 6 st. Ch 1, turn (6)

R6-8​: Sc in each st across. Ch1, turn (6)

Cut yarn and fasten off. Leaving a long tail for sewing.

Sew up the heel of the shoe by folding the flap in half and sewing row 8 together.

R1​: Join yarn to the top of the opening with a standing sc. Sc 13 times around the opening (14)

R2​: Sc into the standing sc. Sc around (14)

R3-8​: Sc around. (14)

Sl st into the next st. Cut yarn and fasten off.

Bag

R1​: Ch 11. Sc in second ch from hook. Sc across. Ch1, turn. (10)

R2​: Sc across. Ch1, turn. (10)

R3​: 4 sc. Fpdc around the 5th and 6th st from R1. Ch1, turn. (10)

R4​: Sc across. Ch1, turn. (10)

R5​: 4 sc. Fptr around the 2nd fpdc of R3. Fptr around the 1st fpdc of R3. (This st will be behind the st you just made. ) 4 sc. Ch1, turn. (10)

R6​: Sc across. Ch1, turn. (10)

R7​: 4 sc. Fptr around the 2nd fptr from two rows before. Fptr around the 1st fptr from two rows before. 4 sc. Ch1, turn. (10)

R8-21​: Repeat R6-7. (10)

Cut yarn and fasten off.

Handle 

R1​: Ch 45. Sc in second ch from hook. Sc into each ch. Ch1, turn. (44)

R2​: Sc across. (44)

Cut yarn and fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing

Fold the bag into thirds. Sew the handle on to the bag as shown in photos. Make sure you do not twist the handle as you sew it on.

Sew on the snap to the inside of the flap and onto the front of the bag so they are lined up.
