This year was the first time I saw a poppy up close. I had seen them in pictures but never in person. When I saw it, I couldn’t believe how much this simple flower could take my breath away. I didn’t know what kind of flower it was at first. When I checked, I was shocked. I didn’t know that poppies were so beautiful! At that moment, they became one of my favorite flowers.
I have learned that a picture of a flower will never do it justice. From the pictures I have seen of poppies, I never would have thought they were so pretty! I am now beginning to wonder what other flowers I would love if I saw them outside of a picture.
I had tons of fun creating this poppy paper flower template. I went through 10 prototypes before I was happy with the finished product. I made the first prototypes out of white cardstock because I like saving my more expensive paper for the finished product. As soon as I had a poppy made out of colored paper, my heart soared from the excitement! This template turned out better than I could have imagined.
I hope you like this template as much as I do!
